The Plant Department offers plant styling and maintenance services designed to fit your individual needs. We have refined the art of matching the perfect plants with the perfect vintage, antique, and new pots to match your plant’s needs alongside your style preferences. The Plant Department designs, sources, and installs sustainable and beautiful plants and trees that instantly impact your space’s beauty and appeal. We strive to make plants accessible to everyone and fun for anyone who wants to learn! We are a small team rooted in education and dedicated to fostering human connection and gratitude for one another and the beauty of nature.

Consultation: submit a form to schedule a consultation, and we will help determine whether an on-site visit or a virtual consultation is right for you.
Custom Proposal: After your consultation, you’ll receive a proposal outlining design plans, including plants and pots sourced from our local partners, as well as design and installation costs.
Installation: Our team will turn your plant dreams into reality by installing your plants and trees in your space and leave you with customized care tips and the option for maintenance packages.

Where can I purchase your plant designs?
The Plant Department does not have its own storefront, but designs can be purchased through our online shop or during a visit to our Santa Monica home design studio (by appointment only). We also partner with retail shops around Los Angeles. Currently, you can find plant designs for purchase at the following retail shops:
